It is known that pain accompanies innumerable diseases of very diverse etiology and severity, but fortunately a wide range of analgesics is available on the market that will help the patient to eliminate that pain or, at least, reduce its intensity.

There is some international consensus to define pain as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience that is associated with actual or potential injury to body tissues.

The special receptors for painful sensations are free nerve endings. Painful impulses from somatic structures are transmitted to the brain by the corresponding nerves, while visceral impulses are transmitted by sympathetic nerves.
