Max Factor is a popular line of cosmetics owned by the Procter & Gamble company. It was founded in 1909 as Max Factor & Company, by Maksymilian Faktorowicz, a cosmetologist from Poland. In the beginning she specialized in movie makeup; until 1973 when it was sold for $ 500 million, Max Factor & Company belonged to several generations of the family, becoming an international company during this time. Procter & Gamble bought the company in 1991.
