Duentric coated low dose aspirin. Cartia tablets have a special coating designed to protect your stomach. Pharmacy medicine. Indications Cartia helps prevent blood clotting and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke in patients with blood vessel disorders. Cartia helps protect you from some of the problems that can be caused by clotting in the blood stream. The special coating on cartia tablets prevents the aspirin from being released in your stomach where it could cause gastric upsets. The aspirin is released lower down in the intestines, where it is absorbed gradually in the blood stream. This gradual absorption is believed to be necessary for the best anti-clotting effect. Dosage Take 1 tablet daily

Usage Directions

Female adults and adolescents 12 years of age and over: Take 2 tablets with food at the first sign of period pain or menstrual bleeding, followed by one tablet with food after 6 to 8 hours as necessary.

Do not exceed 5 tablets in 24 hours. Keep to the recommended dose. Do not give to children under 12 years. Do not use for more than a few days at a time, except on medical advice. Excessive use can be harmful.
