Each capsule of Astrix 100 contains 100mg of asprin in the form of enteric coated, controlled release pellets. Blister packed for your protection. Astrix 100 contains wheat starch this contains gluten. Pharmacy medicine. Each Capsule Contains: Asprin 100mg. Indications This pack of Astrix 100 contains sufficient capsules for 12 weeks treatment. Astrix 100 capsules are conveniently blister-packed in platforms, of 14 2 weeks treatment. Each capsule is labelled for a given day of the week. Start by selecting 1 platform, and taking that capsule which corresponds with that day of the week. Follow the arrows around the platform until you have used up the 2 week supply, then proceed to another platform. For further convenience, the platforms may be separated into two 7 day packs. The special coating on cartia tablets prevents the aspirin from being released in your stomach where it could cause gastric upsets. The aspirin is released lower down in the intestines, where it is absorbed gradually in the blood stream. This gradual absorption is believed to be necessary for the best anti-clotting effect. Usage Directions

Female adults and adolescents 12 years of age and over: Take 2 tablets with food at the first sign of period pain or menstrual bleeding, followed by one tablet with food after 6 to 8 hours as necessary.

Do not exceed 5 tablets in 24 hours. Keep to the recommended dose. Do not give to children under 12 years. Do not use for more than a few days at a time, except on medical advice. Excessive use can be harmful.
